A Beery Good One: The Serious Women's Business EOFY Event

What a delightful evening we shared recently at Co-Conspirators Brewpub in the heart of Brunswick! Our EOFY celebration for Serious Women’s Business was filled with great company, delectable food, and exceptional brews that truly made it a memorable night.

From sliders and popcorn chicken to fresh fruit platters and mini apple and custard pies, the feast was absolutely on point. And let’s talk about the drinks — Co-Conspirators HQ beers never disappoint, but the Pastry Sour stole the show with its balanced tang and sweetness. If you’re a fan of craft beers, this is the venue for your next D&D night.

It was heartening to see so many familiar faces who have supported SWB over the years, alongside new members who traveled from across the city. Winter networking can feel like a big ask, but the camaraderie, valuable learning, and community spirit that come from these gatherings make every effort more than worthwhile.

Our keynote speakers brought both inspiration and insight to the evening. Emma Edwards of The Broke Generation shared her journey with warmth and wit, emphasizing the empowering freedom found in committing fully to your business and confidently saying no to work that doesn’t align with your goals. Her honest reflections on navigating the crossroads between full-time self-employment and juggling multiple commitments resonated deeply with many attendees.

Jacq Sacco then captivated the room with an intriguing dive into the world of fermentation. She shared the story behind Co-Conspirators’ growth from a bold idea into a beloved real-world space and craft beer brand. Jacq’s role in the Pink Boots Society—a dynamic organization supporting women and female-identifying individuals in the fermentation industry—adds an inspiring layer to her tale. This is a community worth following if you’re passionate about craft brewing and female leadership.

All in all, the event was a happy-making success, strengthening connections and giving me the inspiration to keep pushing forward. If you missed out, don’t worry — join us at the next Serious Women’s Business event, bring your friends along, and prepare to ‘buzz’ with us once again!

Big thanks to Mish Winters Creative for capturing these moments so beautifully.
